Early start to Rotterdam to get the train to Les Sables D’Olonne – via Paris. Met Arnold & Maro, quick Starbucks and off we went. Uneventful until we changed at Gare du Nord for Montparnasse & I got my pocket picket – phone, bank card and driving license gone – should have seen it coming based on what was going on around me. Easy to see with hindsight. So spent the train journey from Paris shutting stuff down (phone, bank) and changing passwords as I was not able to wipe my phone remotely. Note to self – make sure that you have this setting selected in future!!! The security on the iPhone is pretty bulletproof – so not worried too much, but prudence pays!! Just a pity this happened at the start of 3/4 week trip.
Got to Les Sables D’Olonne. What a beautiful place – and boats everywhere. Got on board Bluefish (Lagoon 46) & realized that we’d have to postpone our departure until Wednesday, as still work to be done on the electronics and sails. Also we wanted to do sea trials with the owner before taking off.
Got some dinner & headed off to bunk for some restless sleep.
